The City Council is now accepting applications for the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Center for Quality Communities (CQC) scholarship. Cities may nominate one person for one of the four $3000 scholarships available through a statewide competitive process for high school seniors who are active in leadership in their city government, community or school and plan to pursue college or trade school in the fall of 2026.
Interested and qualifying Valley students should complete the 2026 CQC scholarship application along with a letter of recommendation from a non-relative, and submit to [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Jan. 9. The City Council will review the applications, and at their Jan. 20 City Council meeting, select one student to nominate to AWC.
