Delta is partnering with The New York Times to bring one of the world's most trusted brands on board, enriching the travel experience with journalism, games, audio and more. And it doesn't stop when the plane lands: Eligible SkyMiles Members get 24 hours of complimentary access to all of The Times, so they can keep reading, listening and playing, wherever their journey takes them.

For many customers, The New York Times is already part of their everyday routine-a connection that proved popular onboard when New York Times Games previously launched on Delta Sync. Building on that success, Delta Sync now brings even more of The Times's universe into the journey, giving customers new ways to discover, learn and stay entertained.

SkyMiles Members have multiple ways to explore The Times's expansive portfolio: both on their personal devices through fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi presented by T-Mobile (now available on nearly 1,200 aircraft) and via seatback screens (coming soon). The collaboration marks Delta Sync's first truly global content partnership, meaning customers can access The Times's full suite of offerings on all Delta Sync Wi-Fi-enabled aircraft, wherever they're traveling.

"Travel is about more than getting from A to B - it's about discovery," said Julieta McCurry, Delta's vice president of in-flight entertainment and connectivity. "This partnership is a natural fit: Delta connects the world, and The New York Times helps its readers understand it. Bringing the Times's full portfolio into Delta Sync creates a richer journey, with something for everyone to discover."

Coming soon: Curated New York Times storytelling on seatback screens

Starting in May, Delta will introduce curated video storytelling from The Times to the in-flight entertainment experience, bringing world-class journalism to more than 165,000 seatback screens across Delta's fleet.

With The New York Times's additional seatback content, customers can look forward to mid- and long-form New York Times video content, spanning culture, lifestyle and exploration. Seatback content will include premium video series like DealBook Summit, featuring wide-ranging interviews on the most important stories across business, politics and culture, and "The Interview," showcasing conversations with compelling, influential figures in culture, politics, business, sports and beyond.

And that's just the beginning: customers will see new storytelling from The Times refreshed regularly throughout the year.

A strategic partnership rooted in trusted storytelling

With more than 12 million subscribers worldwide, The New York Times has evolved into a multi-product digital destination spanning journalism, sports, games, cooking, audio, video, shopping recommendations and more.

By bringing that ecosystem onboard and extending access beyond the flight, Delta is offering even more ways to stay informed and engaged during travel.

"We're thrilled to be teaming up with Delta to bring Times journalism and our lifestyle products to millions of travelers each and every day," said Rebecca Grossman-Cohen, SVP of strategic partnerships. "Creating a rich, engaging customer experience is a shared ethos for both of our brands, and this collaboration provides us a meaningful opportunity to showcase the full breadth of The Times to even more curious audiences globally."

Powering the next generation of connected travel

The New York Times partnership is part of Delta's broader effort to transform the connected travel experience through personalization, connectivity and premium content.

As Delta continues expanding the Delta Sync ecosystem through partnerships like YouTube and Crunchyroll, customers will find even more opportunities to connect with the brands, content and moments they love.
