Notable Trends

  • Four aggravated assaults reported over the last two weeks. Multiple suspects were arrested in one case where they shot a victim. Great teamwork from witnesses, businesses and partner law enforcement agencies contributed to the arrests. You can find more details about the incident on our Facebook or Instagram pages. Officers arrested suspects in two other cases. In one, the suspect pushed the victim into a door, causing injury. In the other, the suspect stabbed the victim in the neck. In the last case, the suspect hit the victim multiple times and knocked them unconscious.
  • One rape reported that is still an open investigation. The victim knows the suspect.
  • Officers arrested suspects in both robbery cases. In one, the suspect displayed a firearm at loss prevention employees trying to stop a theft. In the other case, an ex-boyfriend stole the victim's backpack and fought with her to retain it.
  • Eleven commercial burglaries reported for the two-week period with an arrest in two cases and two still open investigations. In one arrest, the suspect broke into a restaurant through a back door, stole some alcohol and stayed overnight. In the other arrest, the suspect had thrown a brick through the window of a model home and slept in it.
  • Five residential burglaries reported with an arrest in one case and one still an open investigation. Charges were referred to the prosecutor in a third case that was a violation of a no contact order. In the arrest, the suspect triggered the victim's motion alarm trying to open a sliding back door that was secured with a dowel. Security footage showed him jumping over the back fence. Officers located and arrested him later in the day. The suspect was also involved in another case where he was jumping a fence and looking into windows of the victim.
