MNMT to broadcast 34 Mystics games during upcoming season, including home opener on May 10
Washington, D.C. (April 23, 2026) - Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and the Washington Mystics today announced that the independent media platform will broadcast 34 Mystics games during the 2026 WNBA season. MNMT will once again provide comprehensive coverage as the team celebrates its 28th year of existence within the league's 30-year history.
After airing both of the team's preseason games on April 25 (vs. Minnesota) and May 3 (at Atlanta), the first regular season game available to fans on MNMT will be the home opener on Sunday, May 10 at 3:00 PM ET against New York. 10 Mystics games - including the season opener on May 8 - will be exclusive national broadcasts on ION Television. Two others will air exclusively on Prime Video (Aug. 13 at Las Vegas and Aug. 27 at Phoenix). Fans should also note the following tip-off time updates to the schedule: June 2 vs. Chicago has been moved to 7:30 PM ET, June 8 vs. Indiana will now tip at 7:00 PM ET, and Aug. 19 vs. Toronto has been moved to 7:30 PM ET.
"We're proud to deliver another exciting season of Mystics basketball to fans across the DMV region, showcasing a new generation of players bringing energy and excitement to the court," said Friday Abernethy, General Manager at MNMT. "From our live game broadcasts to our robust lineup of shoulder programming and original content, our network remains committed to telling the full story of this team on and off the court. As we usher in a new era of Mystics coverage, we're excited to bring fans closer to the action than ever before."
Earlier this week, MNMT announced a new era for its Washington Mystics broadcast coverage, highlighted by the addition of veteran play-by-play announcer Dorian Craft as the team's lead voice. Craft brings more than a decade of diverse broadcasting experience across multiple sports and platforms, including national work with ACC Network, ESPNU, ESPN, CBS Sports Network, and Fox Sports 1, and most recently serving as the lead voice for the Association of Pickleball Players.
She will be joined by returning color analyst Christy Winters Scott, who enters her 17th season with the Mystics, and new sideline reporter Juliana Morgan, who steps into an expanded role after serving as a multimedia talent with MNMT. Together, the trio forms a dynamic broadcast team poised to deliver comprehensive, high-energy coverage for Mystics fans throughout the season.
In addition to the game broadcasts, MNMT will continue to produce its full lineup of award-winning Mystics shoulder programming, including Mystics Pregame Live and Mystics Postgame Live, providing informative team analysis and commentary for 30 minutes before and after each regular season game on the network. In 2023, the Mystics became the first WNBA team to feature a dedicated pre- and postgame show for every regional game broadcast. Mystics shoulder programming will be broadcast live from the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Studios, with Wes Hall returning as host and former WNBA standouts Chasity Melvin and Marissa Coleman serving as the primary analysts. MNMT basketball analyst Jimmy Patsos will also make regular appearances.
Hosted by Craft, the award-winning magazine series Mystics Courtside will also return in May, featuring the best moments and off-court stories with players, staff, and Mystics fans. Docu-follow series Fresh Paint: Mystics All Access also returns for a second season, taking fans behind-the-scenes on Draft night with Mystics front office staff, new players as they acclimate to the team, and more untold stories during the season.
Mystics games on MNMT will be available to local fans both on linear tv and via streaming platforms within the network's coverage area, stretching from Richmond to Delaware. Hoops fans can watch the games through their TV provider, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, DIRECTV, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung, X1, and Xfinity Xumo and using an eligible TV Everywhere log-in.
Fans without a TV provider who are interested in watching these games and receiving other outstanding benefits can purchase an annual direct-to-consumer subscription priced at $179.99 per year at monumentalplus.com (savings of $59.89 per year compared to 12 months of a monthly subscription). Monthly subscriptions with access to all live games on MNMT and app-exclusive features are also available at $19.99 per month.
In addition to the network's Mystics coverage, MNMT is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, and NBA G League's Capital City Go-Go. It also proudly boasts a comprehensive schedule of original programming and live college football, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball, high school basketball, esports, as well as Old Glory DC (Major League Rugby) games. In total, MNMT will air close to 500 total games during the 2025-26 season, an all-time high.
