Eastbound I-70 Closed Overnight at High Hill This Weekend

HANNIBAL - Drivers can expect to encounter delays as contractor crews have scheduled lane closures on eastbound Interstate 70 for emergency repairs needed on the railroad overpass at High Hill in Montgomery County. All work is weather permitting.

The following lane closures will impact locations on eastbound I-70 in Montgomery County beginning January 16-20:

  • Eastbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane at mile marker 181 during daytime hours with a 10-foot width restriction in place.
  • Eastbound I-70 will be closed to traffic overnight between mile marker 179 at High Hill and mile marker 183 at Jonesburg during the following times:
    • Friday, January 17 beginning at 10:00 p.m. through Saturday, January 18 at 7:00 a.m.
    • Sunday, January 19 from midnight to 9:00 a.m.

During the overnight closures, all eastbound I-70 traffic will exit at Route F in High Hill and detour to the north outer road to Jonesburg.

All work is scheduled to be completed by the evening of Monday, January 20.
