The Shire of Denmark is seeking community feedback on its Draft Trading in Public Places Policy. The draft policy proposes a framework for businesses and individuals wishing to trade on public land, while ensuring public places remain safe, accessible, well managed and enjoyable for the community.
The draft policy introduces a risk-based licensing approach and distinguishes between fixed, occasional and low-impact trading. It also addresses alfresco dining and trading adjoining an established business, designated trading sites, application processes, fees, site care and transition arrangements.
