Schedule: Monday, October 13, 2025, through Friday, October 17, 2025, #1 lane, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily
Monday, October 20, 2025, through October 24, 2025, right shoulder, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily
Contra Costa & Marin Counties - Caltrans will be closing the #1 lane and the right shoulder on the lower deck of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (I-580), for extensive maintenance work.
Closure Details:
Eastbound I-580 Richmond-San Rafael Bridge closure.
- Lane #1 closed Monday, October 13, through Friday, October 17, 7:00 AM to 2 PM daily.
- Right shoulder closed Monday, October 20, through Friday, October 24, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM (daily).
All work is weather-dependent.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will alert drivers ahead of closures. At least two lanes will remain open during work hours.
Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed, and plan extra travel time.
Please use caution and be prepared for possible merging traffic near work zones.
