Executive Director’s Note – April 2026: Initiatives of the World Bank Group in Support of Client Countries.

The Office of the Executive Director for Africa Group II is pleased to announce the release of the 2026 edition of the Executive Director's Note, highlighting the key initiatives of the World Bank Group (WBG) in support of its member countries.

This publication highlights five strategic initiatives across key development sectors: (i) energy, (ii) agriculture, (iii) health, (iv) social protection, and (v) women's empowerment, with a particular focus on financing opportunities and access conditions.

Designed as an operational tool, this Note aims to support governments and partners in understanding and leveraging WBG priorities to maximize their impact for the benefit of populations.

In addition to presenting recent initiatives, the Note also provides a compilation of useful resources, including links to key World Bank Group publications and data platforms, enabling easier access to information and knowledge tools.
