The X-E5 is a mirrorless digital camera featuring a lightweight, compact body weighing 445g*1, a back-illuminated 40.2 MP "X-Trans CMOS 5 HR"*2 sensor, and a high-speed image processing engine, the "X-Processor 5". As the first model in the "X-E series," which is characterized by its rangefinder-style design allowing one-handed dial operation while looking through the viewfinder and its compact, lightweight body, it is equipped with a powerful five-axis IBIS mechanism offering up to 7.0 stops in the center and 6.0 stops at the edges*3.Users can enjoy effortless shooting with precision and versatility across a wide range of scenes. Additionally, for the first time in the "X Series," the camera features a camera top plate made entirely from precision-machined aluminum. The flat top surface accentuates the edges, and the dial area is carved out to create a smooth metal texture and a high sense of rigidity and comfort when holding the camera. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) now features a new "Classic Display" mode*4, which displays only essential information in a simple, retro style reminiscent of film cameras. Furthermore, the layout of the dials has been designed so that all operations can be performed with the right hand alone when holding the camera and looking through the viewfinder, enabling highly immersive shooting. The X-E5 is a camera that combines the classic style unique to the X series with an innovative appearance that pursues the dignity of a camera through aluminum machining, as well as functions and operability that bring out the joy of shooting. It is a camera that provides the joy of owning a camera and the fun of photography to a wide range of users, from photography enthusiasts to those who are using a digital camera for the first time.
