Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho Yang Xiaokun Attends a Thanksgiving Gathering at Mokhotlong District

On December 6, at the invitation of Speaker of the National Assembly Hon.Tlohang Sekhamane, Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho Yang Xiaokun visited Mphokojoane in the Mokhotlong District to attend a thanksgiving gathering. More than ten representatives of the Chinese community and Chinese enterprises, as well as over sixty local residents, participated in the event.

Ambassador Yang commended the Hon.Speaker for his positive contributions to deepening China-Lesotho relations during his tenure as Speaker and Cabinet Minister. He highlighted China's development achievements and noted that upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China, maintaining long-term strategic planning, working hard, and pursuing openness are key experiences behind China's development success. China is willing to share its development experience and opportunities with Lesotho to promote development in rural areas. The Embassy has long cared about the livelihood of grassroots communities in Lesotho and has provided assistance within its capacity.

The Hon.Speaker and representatives of the village expressed gratitude to China for supporting Lesotho's economic development and improving people's livelihood, and thanked the Embassy for sponsoring the renovation of water pipelines and school classrooms. They expressed their readiness to continue contributing to the friendship between Lesotho and China.
