Portion of North 48th Street to Close Beginning November 18

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that both northbound lanes on North 48th Street between Leighton and Walker avenues will close beginning Monday, November 18, for a construction project at a private business. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, November 22.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained via North 49th Street. The recommended detour is Leighton Avenue to North 56th Street to Adams Street.

Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. LTU appreciates the public's patience during this closure and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
