Sheriff's Office Adds New Fire Suppression Equipment

The Cass County Sheriff's Office wants to notify our communities that they have added a new fire suppression tool to their emergency response capabilities over the next month. Deputies are trained and equipped with the Fire Suppression Solutions Fire Suppression Tool (FST). This highly effective fire suppression device features a simple activation process that rapidly deploys an aerosol mist, aiding in the suppression of a fire.

Our Rural Fire Departments and EMS are great partners and are efficient in their response; however, we do understand that there are times when our deputies may arrive at the scene of a fire before our rural first responders. In those circumstances, we want to equip our staff with additional tools to be effective in their efforts to protect property and save lives until our rural fire departments arrive on the scene. The implementation of this new fire suppression tool is just another way that the Cass County Sheriff's Office is continuing with proactive, progressive ideas on how we can better protect our communities and the citizens we serve.
