Readers can borrow and return books, renew library cards

San Luis Obispo County, CA Readers now have two more places to browse and borrow library books- DeVaul Park in San Luis Obispo, and Templeton Park in downtown Templeton.

County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries brings its Branch Out van to Templeton Park during farmers market on Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to Noon, and to DeVaul Park on the second and third Saturdays each month from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. People can borrow and return books, get a library card or renew their library card at these regularly scheduled van stops.

"You can take a look through the items on the carts while the staff make or renew your library card," explained Jackie Kinsey, the library's outreach coordinator.

Library members can also request books and DVDs for pickup at these locations.
"By bringing the library to where people gather, we hope to make it a bit easier for patrons to enjoy the many benefits offered at SLO County libraries," Kinsey said.

Templeton Park is located at 550 Crocker Street in Templeton. DeVaul Park is located at 1651 Spooner Drive in San Luis Obispo.
