Fatality reported in Blake Street fire, two others injured: C26-122026

On May 24, 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to fire in the 300 block of Blake Street that resulted in one fatality and two others injured.
At approximately 2:41 p.m., uniform officers from multiple districts responded to assist Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service personnel, who located a 44-year-old female deceased inside the residence.
In addition, a male in his 30s and a female in her 20s were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the fire.
The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation. At this time, the fire is believed to be accidental.
