Scam awareness program at ICSC hosted by Iowa City Police Department
The Iowa City Senior Center (ICSC) is hosting an event in collaboration with the Iowa City Police Department (ICPD) on how to avoid internet and phone scams.
The program will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, in the ICSC's Meeting Room 302. Anyone interested should register for the class online or call the ICSC at 319-356-5220.
Ann Thompson, ICPD's Victim Services Coordinator, will lead the program. During the hour-long course, Anne will share tips on how to spot a scam and provide tools to help you avoid financial loss and emotional trauma.
