Chairman Williams Holds Small Business Roundtable on the Economic Opportunities of the FIFA World Cup 2026 for North Texas

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, and Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) hosted a small business roundtable on the economic opportunities created by the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. Four stakeholders from across the Dallas-Fort Worth region participated and shared how the tournament is already driving new opportunities for Main Street.

Statement from Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business:

"The World Cup is coming to Dallas, and Main Street is ready to win big," said Chairman Williams. "There's no better way to kick off National Small Business Week than by sitting down with the local entrepreneurs and preparing for an event that will ignite the North Texas economy. The conversation today proved that this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for small businesses across North Texas. Hearing directly from local stakeholders made clear that when the world comes to Texas this summer, we're going to make sure every restaurant owner, retailer, and hotel operator in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is positioned to succeed."
