Spring Band Concert - A Musical Night of Movies, Musicals, and More

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque's Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present a free Spring Band Concert featuring the UD Concert Band and UD Jazz Band at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.

Audience members will enjoy music from a variety of genres and time periods as well as timeless jazz standards. The performance will include highlights from La La Land, the symphonic suite from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, "Bag's Groove," "Lady Bird," and more.

University alumni and incoming students will join the UD Concert Band for a special presentation of the "Alma Mater." David Resnick, MM, adjunct instructor of music at UD, will be the alto saxophone featured soloist for "Harlem Nocturne" with the UD Wind Ensemble.

The Spring Band Concert will be conducted by Nolan Hauta, DMA, director of concert bands and associate professor of instrumental music at UD, and Evan Glickman, DMA, director of jazz and athletic bands and assistant professor of music at UD.

The Spring Band Concert is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
