“Is There Wi-Fi in Heaven? Grieving…

March 26, 2026

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Vision Gallery's new exhibition, "Is There Wi-Fi in Heaven? Grieving in the Digital Age," features seven local artists who use the lens of digital media to explore how the internet has forever changed the way that we engage and mourn the dead. The show will be on display at the Vision Gallery March 28 through June 6.

As social media and digital tools transform our interactions with the living, they also create new tools for how we grieve. Regan Henley, guest curator, said, "There is a rich artistic tradition of trying to make sense of death; we have been doing it for all of recorded history. It should not be surprising, then, that we continue this tradition using every tool at our disposal, even when it involves Wi-Fi."

In the networked age, grief and death are increasingly mediated through screens, raising questions about permanence, ritual and what it means to visit the dead when physical presence is no longer required. This exhibition will explore how technology reshapes the way we mourn and maintain bonds with the dead.

Join the artists for the opening reception of the exhibition on Friday, March 27 from 6-8 p.m. RSVP on Eventbrite.

Vision Gallery is located at 10 E. Chicago St. Hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed Sunday and Monday. Free admission.
