Same Shit, Different Day: Trump Remains Laser Focused on Himself Arrow

As Donald Trump's unpopular war of choice with Iran rages on and Americans struggle to get by, Trump is focused on anything except helping everyday Americans. Trump has been overseeing the White House ballroom renovations, touring Graceland, and spending the last three weekends golfing at Mar-a-Lago. It's no surprise that 68% of Americans say Trump has the wrong priorities.

Trump's war with Iran has already claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members and injured over 230, while driving up global oil prices and gas prices for Americans back home. The national average price of gas is predicted to hit a staggering $4 per gallon as soon as today.

In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:

"As American families continue to struggle with rising prices and his war with Iran escalates, Donald Trump has been spending his weekends on the golf course and dedicating his time to his White House ballroom renovations. Working families are barely making ends meet as prices soar and jobs disappear - and Trump is doubling down. Americans are begging for relief - and Trump can't be bothered."

In the wake of the initial strikes, every single major poll showed that Americans disapprove of Trump's war in Iran, Trump is considering sending troops to the Middle East and the cost of the war will soon exceed $25 billion. The Pentagon is now requesting an additional $200 billion for the war as half of all Americans with a credit card, and over 40% of all U.S. adults, are unable to pay off their credit card bills month to month.

Meanwhile, inflation is up nearly 3% compared to one year ago, while U.S. mortgage rates rose above 6%, and 72% of Americans say it is a bad time to find a quality job. It's no surprise that only a quarter of Americans believe that Trump and Republicans are focused on lowering the cost of living and inflation, even though most Americans say that is among their top concerns.
