LADWP Crews are Prepared for Winter Storm Warning in Effect in the Eastern Sierra

BISHOP (November 17, 2025) - The National Weather Service announced a Winter Storm Warning in Effect in the Eastern Sierra from 10 AM Monday, November 17 to 10PM Tuesday, November 18. Heavy snow expected. Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) aqueduct division and power system crews are monitoring the storm system and prepared to respond.

  • Heavy snow expected.
  • Slippery road conditions along State Route 168 to Aspendell and through Westgard Pass.
  • Inyo County Road Closures are available.
  • Consider delaying travel if possible. If travel is necessary, use extreme caution. Keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Call 1-800-427-7623 for road information.

What to do during a Power Outage? Be prepared:

  • Report LADWP electric customer outages by calling 1-800-992-8331 (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and (833) 325-2397 after hours.
  • Subscribe to Inyo County's Genasys Protectâ„¢ enhanced alert system at ready.inyocounty.us.
  • Our first priority is safety. Our crews and first responders must ensure conditions are safe before beginning any power restoration work.
