Guest Artist Recital: Expanding the Art Song Canon

Monday, Oct. 27 A Guest Artist Recital titled, "Expanding the Art Song Canon: Introducing Afrikaans Art Song Literature," will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. The program features guest artists Bronwen Forbay, soprano; Christian Bester, baritone; and Vivian Hamilton, piano. This lecture-recital will introduce audiences to the nuances of Afrikaans pronunciation and highlight the rich and expressive art song repertoire written for soprano and baritone. This concert will also be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment. A $5 donation is encouraged. Online donations can be made at give.gcsu.edu/g/department-of-music/.
