Chinese Ambassador to Norway Hou Yue Attends the Forum of “Celebrating the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Horse and Gathering Overseas Chinese Wisdom for Development” Held[...]

On March 5, H.E. Ms Hou Yue, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Norway, was invited to attend the forum "Celebrating the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Horse and Gathering Overseas Chinese Wisdom for Development", jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification in Norway and the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce for Norway. More than 40 representatives from overseas Chinese communities in Norway, including community leaders and youth representatives, participated in the event.

In her remarks, Ambassador Hou noted that over the past year, The 14th Five-Year Plan was successfully concluded, China's economic strength, scientific and technological abilities, and composite national strength all reached new heights, and solid advances being made in advancing Chinese modernization. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has drawn up a grand blueprint for the country's development in the next five years. China will stay focused on its goals and tasks, firmly pursue high-quality development, accelerate the building of a new development paradigm, and share development opportunities with countries around the world.

Ambassador Hou encouraged overseas Chinese in Norway to continue to jointly support national reunification, seize the opportunities presented by the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period, and contribute to the development of China-Norway relations and to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

During the forum, participants exchanged views on China's promising development prospects, ways to promote China-Norway exchanges and cooperation, and efforts to advance the cause of China's national reunification.
