On Jan. 15, Patricia A. Whitely, senior vice president for student affairs and alumni engagement, continued her national tour honoring the University of Miami's approaching 100th birthday, celebrating with the New York Canes community.

Whitely was joined at The Pierre hotel in Manhattan by special guests Paul A. Pavlou, dean of Miami Herbert Business School, and head baseball coach J.D. Arteaga for a fireside chat on the intersection of business and the baseball industry. The conversation was moderated by University alumnus and television executive producer Javier Morgado.

The following is a gallery of photos from Wednesday's event.

The Sprint to Our Centennial event series will continue over the next three months, culminating in the University's 100th anniversary on April 8.

Future stops on Whitely's tour include Philadelphia, Boston, Broward/Palm Beach, and Chicago. For more details on these and other Alumni Engagement events, visit the Alumni Association website.
