By Joint Ministerial Decision (B' 3631/2026) of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Nikos Papaioannou, for the first time the cadets in Higher Military Educational Institutes and Superior Career NCO Academies are included in the system for the free supply of textbooks, through the information system "EUDOXUS".
This institutional reform radically upgrades the access of cadets in Military Educational Institutes to the necessary educational material, ensuring the continuous enrichment of the courses provided, fully aligned with the modern standards of higher education.
Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis stated:
"This development turns a new page in the academic life of cadets in Higher and Superior Military Educational Institutes, as the way for our future personnel in the Armed Forces to access their books for free is modernized and simplified, thus ensuring their immediate contact with state-of-the-art scientific knowledge.
This way, we carry on ensuring quality in military education, and actively prove that our policy combines institutional modernization to the welfare of our personnel".
Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Nikos Papaioannou stated:
"We are modernizing one of the most critical tools for the support of students in our public universities, ensuring greater transparency and equal access to knowledge. With the said joint decision, we are expanding for the first time the right to free supply of textbooks through the information system "EUDOXUS" to the cadets in Higher and Superior Military Educational Institutes as well, thus filling a gap that was there for decades. The support to the student/cadet is a firm commitment of this Government, and we carry on implementing it with specific, operating steps".
