PASADENA, Calif.- The City of PasadenaParks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) Department, in partnership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), invites the community to celebrate Juneteenth on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101.

The Juneteenth Celebration and NAACP 5th Annual Roller Jam will feature free family-friendly activities, arts and crafts presented by the Armory Center for the Arts, a live DJ, community resources, and roller skating for attendees of all ages. Roller skates can be loaned out for free, and food will be available for purchase.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors African American history, culture, and resilience. The holiday marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Today, Juneteenth is celebrated nationwide through reflection, education, and community gatherings.
