Communication with the United States continues at various levels, and next week a Ukrainian delegation is visiting the U.S. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the Head of State, the delegation will be led by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and will include the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, and the Advisor - Commissioner of the President for Sanctions Policy, Vladyslav Vlasiuk.
"Topics include air defense, energy, and sanctions steps, as well as the negotiation track. The issue of frozen assets will also be discussed with the U.S.," the President noted.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine supports the proposals of U.S. President Donald Trump that could help bring the war to an end and is ready for the dialogue format that President Trump has declared. At the same time, Russia has shown no intention of peace and only continues to intensify its attacks on Ukraine in an attempt to portray supposed success.
"I believe our meeting, combined with the actual facts, has given him (President Trump - Ed.) a broader understanding that the Russians are "selling" him something they are not capable of delivering - in other words, they are blatantly lying. I don't see any demonstration of real strength from the Russians today. What they're doing are terrorist acts - killing civilians, striking energy facilities, railways, and so on," the Head of State stressed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy underlined that Russia is trying to impose ultimatums through massive attacks. But Ukraine seeks a just peace - and therefore, there must be a just dialogue.
