CONCORD, NH - Today, Governor Ayotte announced that New Hampshire Medicare beneficiaries in Coös and Carroll counties will be able to select Medicare Advantage plans for 2027 starting November 1, 2026.
This Medicare Advantage coverage in Coös and Carroll counties follows collaboration between the Governor and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Plans will be available through Medicare Advantage carrier Devoted Health, which is currently also offering Medicare Advantage plans in Hillsborough, Grafton, and Sullivan counties. Medicare Advantage-eligible individuals in Coös and Carroll counties are encouraged to wait until November 1 to enroll if they wish to consider these Medicare Advantage plans.
"In addition to the great work by Administrator Oz and CMS, I also want to thank carrier Devoted Health for working with CMS and healthcare providers in our state to offer these plans during Open Enrollment," said Governor Ayotte. "This collaboration is helping Medicare beneficiaries in our North Country access the care and coverage they need, and we will continue working to protect access to these important services."
Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7. Medicare Advantage is a federal program administered and regulated by CMS. The New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) does not establish federal Medicare Advantage payment levels, approve Medicare Advantage rates, or have the authority to require an insurer to offer a Medicare Advantage plan in New Hampshire. Individual carriers decide whether to participate, where to offer coverage, and which plans to make available, subject to federal requirements. However, the NHID offers information for individuals, and the Department's full consumer advisory can be viewed at www.insurance.nh.gov/news-and-media/blog/medicare-advantage-changes-new-hampshire-2027. For complete plan availability by county, please refer to the appendix at the bottom of the consumer advisory.
