President Gitanas Nausėda, together with First Lady Diana Nausėdienė, will pay a working visit to Ireland on July 10-11.
During the visit, the President is scheduled to meet with Irish President Michael D. Higgins, Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Micheál Martin and Deputy Prime Minister (Tánaiste) Simon Harris. The meetings will focus on current bilateral relations, the international situation and Ireland's upcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The President will also meet with members of the Ireland-Lithuania Friendship Group in the Irish Parliament and will visit Trinity College Dublin, as well as Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The visit will conclude with an evening event with representatives of the Lithuanian community in Ireland.
A separate program is planned for First Lady Diana Nausėdienė. She will visit the Lithuanian book section of the Malahide Library and meet with Lithuanian language teachers working in Ireland.
