South Texas International Film Festival Continues Accepting Submissions

Edinburg, TX - The 11th Annual South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF), hosted by the City of Edinburg, continues accepting film submissions for its upcoming celebration of cinema, set to take place September 10-13, 2025.

STXIFF is a vibrant, competitive film festival dedicated to showcasing visionary filmmakers from across the globe. Held annually in Edinburg, Texas, the festival offers a platform for local, regional, national, and international films-welcoming both seasoned directors and fresh voices. With its signature South Texas hospitality, STXIFF is a space where filmmakers and film lovers connect through screenings, panels, workshops, mixers, and the iconic Awards Ceremony.

Submissions are still open! The Late Entry Deadline is May 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Films must be submitted through FilmFreeway via the STXIFF website. Selected films will be announced on June 20, 2025, through email and on official social media platforms.

Submission Guidelines:

• Short films: 2-40 minutes
• Feature films: 40-120 minutes
• Accepted categories: Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Music Video
• Completion date must be after January 1, 2021
• Films must not be publicly available online or for sale/rent
