"We have felt the support of the Canadian people, Government and Parliament from the very beginning of this war. We thank you for your military and political support. All this is extremely important because we feel that we are not alone in this struggle," the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed particular gratitude for Canada's decision to allocate CAD 5 billion from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets.

The main topic of discussion was Ukraine's path to NATO and the invitation to join the Alliance. The Head of State noted that this is one of the key points of the Victory Plan that he has already presented to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany. In particular, during the meeting, the parties discussed Ukraine's expectations from the meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Canada in November.

"We need very strong signals of support for Ukraine's accession to NATO from our allies," he said.

Other important topics of the meeting included support for Ukraine's energy system ahead of winter, further defense assistance, and continued sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.

The parties separately discussed Canada's leadership in liberating Ukrainian prisoners and deportees. The discussion focused on preparations for a conference, which will be held on October 30-31 in Canada. The event will be dedicated to this particular point of the Peace Formula.

Greg Fergus emphasized that the visit of representatives of all parties of the House of Commons demonstrates the unity and solidarity of the Canadian Parliament with Ukraine.
