This is your USD News Minute.

Join the USD community on Thursday, December 18 for a mass and dedication of a new sculpture on campus called "Angels Unaware" which will be similar to the internationally renowned "Angels Unawares" sculpture that was commissioned by Pope Francis for St. Peter's Square. Thanks to an anonymous donor, this 8-foot sculpture will be located in front of the Kroc School of Peace Studies. Its message, inspired by the Bible, calls us to show acts of hospitality to strangers-a core value of our university. The day begins with Mass at Founders Chapel at 12:15 presided over by the most reverend Michael M. Pham, bishop of San Diego, followed by the dedication ceremony at 1:00 p.m.

Copley Library is extending their hours during finals to meet your study and collaboration needs. The library will be open 24/7 through 9 p.m. on Friday December 19. Be sure to stop by the lower level for free coffee, tea, and fun giveaways provided by USD Associated Student Government.

And, don't forget to sign up for USD's Advent Calendar where you'll receive a daily treat to your inbox to help you celebrate this festive and holy season leading up to Christmas. Sign up at the link above.

As always, thank you for watching and have a wonderful holiday break.
