Jack Rabbit Program Fact Sheet

Body

The Science and Technology Directorate's Chemical Security Analysis Center established the Jack Rabbit Program to fill critical knowledge gaps for understanding, responding, and mitigating large-scale toxic inhalation hazard chemical releases, with a primary focus on chlorine and later anhydrous ammonia. This fact sheet provides a brief synopsis of each phase of the Jack Rabbit Program, listing of research resources, accomplishments, and collaboration partners. This work is critical in understanding these large-scale releases so the United States can effectively plan, prepare, respond to, and mitigate the consequences.
