MALAYSIA PLEDGES USD1 MILLION TO UNRWA

Malaysia continues to strongly support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and its critical role in delivering life-saving humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare and protection services to Palestine refugees.

Consistent with its commitment, the Government of Malaysia has renewed its long-term contribution to UNRWA by pledging a total of USD1 million at the UNRWA Pledging Conference in New York on 30 June 2026. The contribution will be disbursed annually in the amount of USD200,000 from 2026 to 2030.

This effort is a manifestation of the values of Trust and Compassion of the Malaysia MADANI framework. Malaysia will continue to support UNRWA so that it is able to fulfill its mandate to the Palestinian people.
