Dog Yard Road Scheduled to Close Sept. 21 for Underground Pipe Installation Work

Bartow, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2026) - A section of Dog Yard Road in Lake Wales is scheduled to close at 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 for underground pipe installation work.
Dog Yard Road will be closed to through traffic approximately 330 feet west of the Dog Yard Road and Walk In Water Road intersection until underground pipe installation work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25.
Traffic will be detoured on Walk In Water Road, State Road 60, Golden Bough Road, Flame Flower Lane, Kimbrel Road, Glen Saint Mary Road and Dog Yard Road. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
The closure is part of a JDS Inc. project.
