Center for Multicultural Services hosted a celebration recognizing the diverse experiences and journeys of graduating Leos

The University of La Verne's Multicultural Graduation Celebration brought together graduates, families, faculty, staff, and community members. The celebration created space for graduates to recognize the people, communities, and experiences that supported them throughout their academic journeys. Organized by the Center for Multicultural Services, the ceremony honored the Class of 2026 through cultural traditions, live performances, and personal reflections from students as they addressed their loved ones in the audience.

The program featured performances by Xpressions, a dance ensemble at ULV, as well as the Macehualiztli Aztec Group, who ushered students into the ceremony and led a blessing for the graduating class. Speakers included Marquisha Frost, assistant vice president of inclusive excellence and mission integration; Veronica Escoffery-Johnson, associate professor and chair of the school psychology program in the Counseling, Psychology, and Development Department within the LaFetra College of Education; and Wendy Lau, member of the University of La Verne Board of Trustees. Together, the event served as a meaningful celebration of the graduates' accomplishments and the diverse communities that continue to shape the university.
