Secretary-General of ASEAN engages ASEAN-Korea Journalists Exchange Programme

Following the morning festivities of 59^th ASEAN Day Celebrations, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, also received a delegation participating in the ASEAN-Korea Journalists Exchange Programme, organised by the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC). The visiting journalists also attended the ASEAN Day commemorative activities at the ASEAN Secretariat/ASEAN Headquarters.

During the meeting, SG Dr. Kao highlighted the media's role in fostering greater public understanding and strengthening cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (ROK), particularly in the areas of culture, trade, innovation, and people-to-people connectivity. The ASEAN-Korea Journalist Exchange Programme is an ongoing initiative that seeks to deepen regional media networks and promote accurate, balanced and informed coverage of ASEAN and ASEAN-ROK cooperation across all ASEAN Member States and the ROK.
