The Agreement on Technical Cooperation between Republic of Moldova and Japan for the modernization of the media’s public infrastructure ,,Teleradio-Moldova”, signed at the MFA

4 December 2025, Chișinău - At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Japan was signed, aimed at financing the project "Improvement of Television Program Production Equipment at the National Public Audiovisual Institution 'Teleradio-Moldova.'"

The document was signed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergiu Mihov, and Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, Yamada Yoichiro.

Under the agreement, Japan will provide the State Company "Teleradio-Moldova" with a non-refundable grant in the amount of 192 million Japanese yen (approximately 21 million Moldovan lei) for the modernization of audiovisual production and broadcasting equipment. The implementation of the project will be carried out through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The Government of the Republic of Moldova expresses its appreciation for Japan's consistent support in strengthening institutional capacities and developing the country's priority sectors.
