AAAE, USCTA Express Strong Support for House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee's Proposed Air Traffic Control Modernization Investments

April 29, 2025

Alexandria, Va. - The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the U.S. Contract Tower Association (USCTA) commend the leadership of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for their efforts to enhance the safety and efficiency of the nation's air traffic control system. The resources proposed for inclusion in budget reconciliation legislation, including dedicated funding for contract towers, FAA towers, and sponsor-owned towers, would serve as a meaningful down payment toward building the system and facilities that travelers, workers, users, and all Americans need and deserve. We look forward to working with Congress and the Trump Administration to advance these and other much-needed investments in air traffic and airport facilities. AAAE and USCTA are part of a broad coalition of aviation stakeholders that have endorsed the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure's Air Traffic Control modernization provisions.
