As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

• No-Hit Shooting - 1400 block of Cherry Avenue - On Jan. 15, 2025 at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 1400 block of Cherry Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, located evidence of a shooting. No injuries were reported, no suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

Great work officers! Yesterday morning, officers safely took three guns off the streets.

• On Jan.15, 2025 at approximately 5:00 a.m., SWAT officers conducted a search warrant service in the 2700 block of Easy Avenue. During the investigation, officers recovered two firearms, one of which was an unserialzied assault rifle. The suspect was subsequently arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

• On Jan.15, 2025 at approximately 8:29 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of E. 3rd Street regarding a battery report. Upon their arrival, officers located the suspect and arrested him. During their investigation, officers found the suspect to be in possession of a loaded firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
