16-Year-Old Arrested for October 15 Murder at Madison Apartment Complex

Officers today arrested Chad T. Wright, 16, at his Nashville high school on charges of criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide and engaging in a criminal conspiracy in connection with the October 15th fatal shooting of John J. Diaz, 21, and the wounding of his 14-year-old brother in the parking lot of Birchstone Village Apartments on N. Dupont Avenue in Madison.

The victims were inside a car when individuals approached and fired shots.

The investigation, being led by Homicide Unit Detective Jeff Jobe, is continuing. A potential robbery motive is under consideration.
