The Minister of National Defence N. Dendias Visits the USA

The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias travels to the United States of America, on Sunday 16 November 2025, where he will visit San Diego and Saint Francis.

He will visit the Naval Information Warfare Centre Pacific (NIWC), during his visit to San Diego, on Monday 17 November 2025, where he will take a tour of its premises. The Centre is internationally well known, for its specialty in constructing Unmanned Aerial and Sea Vehicles, the development of information systems, Cyberwarfare, as well as secure communications for ships, submarines, Unmanned Vehicles and land forces.

Mr Dendias will travel to Saint Francis, on Tuesday 18 November 2025, where he will visit the Stanford Platform Lab, the Research Laboratory of Stanford University at the Department of Computer Science where he will discuss with Professors and members of the research personnel. The Laboratory focuses, among other things, on the development of large-scale infrastructures and architectural applications for new software platforms, as well as the automation of the computing platforms.

Next, he will visit the Hoover Institute at the University of Stanford, where he will meet the Executive Board and the academics of the Institute.

He will meet at the offices of Saint Francis Cathedral of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America with the Reverend Metropolitan of Saint Francis Mr Gerasimos, in the afternoon of the same day.

He will meet with the Lieutenant Governor of the State of California Eleni Kounalakis,in the evening of Tuesday 18/11/2025.

The Minister of National Defence will meet with expatriate academics and members of companies specialised in the fields of Robotics, Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Cyberdefence and Security, on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
