ADVISORY - BERKS COUNTY - Governor Shapiro to Visit Manufactured Housing Community, Highlight Proposed Housing Reform Measures to Protect Pennsylvanians

Governor Josh Shapiro will visit a manufactured housing community in Berks County to meet with residents who would benefit from the Governor's proposed housing reform measures included in his budget address last month.

Governor Shapiro's 2026-27 proposed budget includes a statewide cap on rental application fees and during last month's budget address, the Governor called on the state legislature to pass a bill limiting annual lot rent increases for manufactured home communities to protect tenants from predatory private equity.
