Save the Date: City of West Hollywood to Host Free Fan Zones in Celebration of the FIFA World Cup 2026™

The City of West Hollywood announces dates for its upcoming Fan Zones in celebration of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The Fan Zones will transform the City's local parks into dynamic viewing areas for residents and visitors to gather, watch matches, and enjoy community-focused programming. The Fan Zones will be free and open to the public and will take place at two locations:

  • Plummer Park:
    Friday, June 12, 2026 and Saturday, June 13, 2026
(Featuring the U.S. match on June 12)
  • West Hollywood Park:
    Thursday, June 25, 2026 through Sunday, June 28, 2026
(Featuring the U.S. match on June 25, and performances of Discofoot on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday)

Timed to align with major World Cup matches - particularly the U.S. Men's National Team games - both locations will feature daily programming with live match screenings on large LED screens, food vendors, and curated entertainment. In addition to broadcasting multiple international matches, the Fan Zones will provide a lively, communal outdoor setting with family-friendly offerings, and interactive activities.

The West Hollywood Park Fan Zone activation will transform West Hollywood Park into a soccer oasis. Key features of the West Hollywood Park Fan Zone will include a beer garden, family and kids zone with a mini soccer pitch, and a designated area for the U.S. premiere of Discofoot, a choreographed soccer match blending dance and sport.

Discofoot is a high-energy, fully improvised dance showdown that blends the energy of a soccer match with the artistry of dance. Conceived by choreographers Petter Jacobsson and Thomas Caley, this unique event challenges traditional norms of sport and performance, emphasizing inclusivity, improvisation, and artistic merit. Discofoot invites audiences to cheer, laugh, and groove along as West Hollywood reinvents the game in its own fabulously unexpected way. The Discofoot performances are a key component of the City of West Hollywood's three-year arts plan to coincide with the major sporting events coming to the region.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 runs from Thursday, June 11, 2026 through Sunday, July 19, 2026 across North America, with Los Angeles serving as a key host region. West Hollywood's Fan Zones aim to complement regional festivities while providing free, accessible, inclusive spaces for the community to celebrate the global event in the social and cultural hub of West Hollywood.

In addition to attending the Fan Zones, there are many ways to get involved as a sponsor, food and beverage vendor, or volunteer. Additional details about how to get involved, as well as programming schedules and event updates, are available at go.weho.org/fanzones.
