TWINSBURG, OHIO - Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) presented an $850,000 ceremonial check to the City of Twinsburg for the Glen Chamberlin Park Improvement Study Project.
"From upgraded playgrounds and picnic areas to improved accessibility and nature access, this investment will make the park safer, more welcoming, and more enjoyable for everyone who visits. I was proud to secure this federal funding for Twinsburg and will continue working to deliver resources that strengthen our neighborhoods and improve quality of life across Ohio's 13th Congressional District," said Rep. Sykes.
"On behalf of the City of Twinsburg, I want to sincerely thank Congresswoman Emilia Sykes for her continued commitment to the communities she serves and for helping us move the Glen Chamberlin Park improvements across the finish line. This $850,000 investment will help complete meaningful upgrades, including a new sensory playground, additional picnic shelters, and replacement of the pedestrian bridge. When finished, Glen Chamberlin Park will be an even more welcoming, accessible, and highly utilized community asset, one that residents of all ages and abilities can enjoy for years to come. We are grateful for Congresswoman Sykes' advocacy and excited for what this project will mean for Twinsburg families," said Twinsburg Mayor Sam Scaffide.
Glen Chamberlin Park is one of the oldest and most visited parks in Twinsburg. This project will support renovations and upgrades throughout the park, including replacing multiple picnic pavilions, improving bridge and nature access, upgrading playground equipment, and installing new benches, trash, and recycling receptacles.
These upgrades will ensure that the park remains a safe, welcoming, and accessible space for families and residents of all ages. I am proud to have advocated for this funding and will continue working to ensure these federal dollars are delivered efficiently and responsibly to our community.
The $850,000 for the Glen Chamberlin Park Improvement Study Project is one of 15 Community Funding Projects totaling more than $12 million Rep. Sykes secured in the Fiscal Year 2026 federal budget. The other projects included in this funding can be found here.
