Taste of the Hispanic Diaspora Event is September 24

The City's Employee Engagement Advisory Committee, in conjunction with Creative Greensboro, hosts the Taste of the Hispanic Diaspora at 5:30 pm on Thursday, September 24, at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. Guests must register at www.greensboro-nc.gov/HRTickets for this free event.

The gathering marks the third program in the Human Rights Department's Taste of the Diaspora: Foodways & Futures, a four-part cultural mixer series that celebrates heritage through diaspora foodways, community storytelling, and arts engagement, while also strengthening public awareness of City resources and civic engagement opportunities.

The Taste of the Hispanic Diaspora celebrates the history and traditions of Spain and Latin American nations with cultural performances and foods prepared by local chefs. The series' first two events featured African and Asian/Pacific Islander culture, while the fourth event on November 18 centers on Eurasian heritage.

The Human Rights Department promotes mutual understanding, respect, and fair treatment for all Greensboro residents, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or familial status. For more information, visit www.greensboro-nc.gov/HR.
