Congresswoman Luz Rivas Presents $750,000 in Federal Funding for Parthenia Place Upgrades

LOS ANGELES - Congresswoman Luz Rivas (CA-29), representative for California's 29th Congressional District, presented $750,000 in federal funding to the Housing Authority of Los Angeles (HACLA). These funds will support computer lab renovations, technology upgrades, and outdoor space improvements at Parthenia Place in North Hills.

"I am proud to secure $750,000 in federal funding to support key technological and outdoor space upgrades at Parthenia Place in North Hills," said Congresswoman Rivas. "With this funding, we are making serious investments in closing the digital divide and providing families with the resources they need to succeed. I am thankful for HACLA's partnership and look forward to continuing to work with HACLA to secure federal funding that uplifts families at Parthenia Place and across the San Fernando Valley."

"We are grateful to Congresswoman Rivas for her partnership in securing this vital funding to create a modern computer lab and outdoor improvements for nearly 160 residents that call Parthenia Place home," said HACLA President and CEO Lourdes Castro Ramirez. "These improvements advance HACLA's mission to create equitable pathways to education, opportunity, and long-term stability by providing families with the tools they need to learn, grow, and stay connected."

"The People Concern is very grateful to Congresswoman Rivas for securing federal funding for the computer lab and technology upgrades at Parthenia Place," said John Maceri, CEO of The People Concern. "As a result of this investment the residents will be able to improve learning, find employment and access resources that will help them thrive and build a stronger, connected community."

"North Hills is a growing community with incredible potential, and we are continuing to make investments that reflect what this neighborhood deserves," said Los Angeles City Councilmember Imelda Padilla. "From improvements at North Hills Community Park, to the Parthenia Place median beautification project, we are building a stronger foundation for residents. As we invest in the infrastructure of this community, we must also provide the technology tools and dignified community spaces our constituents need to thrive - whether that means students completing homework, seniors accessing telehealth, or families connecting to jobs and city services. Thank you, Congresswoman Luz Rivas for securing this critical funding, and HACLA and The People Concern for their partnership in making sure our constituents have the tools they need to thrive."
