Cultural Diplomacy Discussed at the Meeting of Moldova’s Ambassadors

23 December 2025, Chișinău - During the Meeting of Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Moldova, a session was held on cultural diplomacy, chaired by Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan.

The discussions focused on the role of culture as a key tool of public diplomacy and its contribution to promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova abroad, as well as the ways in which diplomatic missions can support and leverage the country's cultural potential in external relations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy as a pillar of foreign policy and the need for close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, including the active involvement of diplomatic missions in promoting Moldovan culture internationally.

The session also reviewed plans for organizing national cultural events in 2026, as well as opportunities for diplomatic missions to participate in their planning and execution.

The session reaffirmed the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international cooperation and promoting the identity and cultural values of the Republic of Moldova.
