On 28 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Jukr Boon-Long, Political Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a coutersy call by Ms. Patcharapimol Youngprapakorn, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to Thailand, and Ms. Olivia Yacé, Miss Universe Côte d'Ivoire 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place on the occasion of Ms. Yacé's visit to Thailand to participate in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, for which Thailand will host the final round on 21 November 2025.

Ms. Yacé introduced herself as the Tourism Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and a contestant in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant. She also expressed her condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and signed the book of condolences before Her Majesty's portrait. The Political Advisor extended his appreciation to Ms. Yacé for her condolences and underscored the importance of people-to-people connection as the foundation for strengthening mutual understanding between Thailand and Côte d'Ivoire. He also highlighted Ms. Yacé's role as Tourism Ambassador in further promoting and deepening the relations between the two countries.

Both sides also exchanged views on cooperation between Thailand and Côte d'Ivoire, particularly in the areas of tourism, public health and development cooperation.
