Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane and Queensland Department of Education Jointly Hold an Award Ceremony for the 2025 'Lotus Chinese Prize'

On 19 September 2025, the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Brisbane and the Queensland Department of Education jointly held an award ceremony for the 2025 " Lotus Chinese Prize". Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze and Dr Scott SNYDER, Acting Executive Director of Department of Education Queensland, attended and delivered speeches.  More than 70 people, including Deputy Consul-General Ms LI Suyun, the award-winning students, supervisors, families and representatives from schools, attended the event.

Dr RUAN extended congratulations to the recipients and their supervisors. He encouraged the students to have further exploration of Chinese history, experience Chinese culture, witness the achievements of Chinese modernization, and become bridges of friendship between China and Australia.

Dr SNYDER hoped that the students would have an unforgettable experience in China, to open a new perspective to embrace Chinese culture, and establish meaningful cultural connections.

The award-winning student representatives delivered wonderful performances, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere throughout the event.
