Nunn Statement on Passage of Year-Round, Nationwide E15

"Today is a major victory for Iowa farmers, consumers, and American energy independence," said Rep. Nunn . "There were plenty of forces in Washington trying to prevent this vote from ever happening, but we held the line, demanded a vote, and delivered results. Every gallon of ethanol we blend is fuel we don't have to import from foreign adversaries. Every dollar saved at the pump is money back in the pockets of working families. E15 - a fuel blend of 15% ethanol - is currently averaging 42 cents per gallon less than regular gasoline at participating stations. According to Growth Energy, nationwide year-round access to E15 could save American consumers an estimated $20.6 billion annually in fuel costs. E15 is now sold at more than 5,000 stations nationwide, with sales increasing 23% in 2025 alone.
